Donovan & Associates is headed by Edward Donovan, a 20+ year veteran of the business, banking, intellectual property and entertainment wars. Ed has represented a variety of clients in New York, Los Angeles, Denver, London and Moscow in various areas including international banking compliance, cross-border litigation, international trademark & intellectual property prosecution, and cross-border transactional matters. Ed has been privileged to handle many entertainment law matters in the film and recording industries, including the recent signing of a Russian artist to a series of recording contracts with BMI. Ed also handles general business and corporate leagal matters for his clients. He is a member of the State Bar of Colorado and several United States Federal District Courts and Federal Circuit Courts. Ed has also successfully represented clients in arbitration matters before the American Arbitration Association and the London Court of International Arbitration, particularly in the banking and finance sectors. Ed shares his legal experiences as a Professor of Law giving lectures in both the United States and Russia working with students in diverse areas including international intellectual property, business organizations, cross-border transactions and litigation, and international banking compliance. Ed was named Professor of the Year in 2008 by the graduating L.L.M. class of the prestigious western law institute Pericles ABLE Program in Moscow, Russia. Ed has also assisted numerous well-known international law firms with in-house professional development.
